One day, after Spanish class, I was walking down the hall with Barney to our next class, History if I remember right, when Jack Egbert stepped out in front, fists clinched, and wouldn't let Barney pass. I dropped my books and swung once with a hard left right across Egbert's square jaw and busted my knuckles. He never found his front teeth. Barney was shaking pretty bad, but he sniffed once and went on to class, and I was kicked out of school. Years later someone told me Barney didn't remember me, but I think he knows.

1, How long have you been watching TAGS? How often do you watch episodes?
in 1966, I was in the 3rd grade. we got our first television, 'Red Skelton' was the very 1st show I watched, TAGS was the 2nd. I've been in love with the show since then!
2, Do you have the DVD collection? If so, do you also watch TAGS on cable or local TV.
yes, I bought the 'tablecloth' set with the original commercials. TAGS is no longer available in my viewing area.
3, Do you prefer the B&W or the color episodes best? What are some of your favorite episodes?
B/W, 'man in a hurry', 'mountain wedding', 'guitar player'.
4, Who are some of you favorite regular characters? Your favorite reoccurring characters?
loved to hate Barney Fike. Ernest T. Bass & the Darling family.
5, Who are your favorite one-time characters? Who would you like to have seen as a regular cast member?
Jim Lindsey (two-time character)
6, Who were some of the unseen characters you feel should have been seen?
Widow Bradshaw
7, Who is your favorite of Andy’s girlfriends? Should have Barney & Thelma Lou gotten married?
old lady Crump worked best with the TAGS theme. nobody could have lived with Bernard P. Fife!
8, Which of the 3 Ben Weavers did you like best? Which Mayor was your favorite?
S.T.O.N.E.R.
9, Which replacement Deputy was your favorite. And least favorite?
didn't like Warren Ferguson at the time, but my opinion has softened with the passing years.
10, If Aunt Bee would have gotten married, who would you have liked to have seen her marry?
ANYBODY except Roger Hanover!
11, If you could write yourself into TAGS, what would your character be like?
Jim Lindsey's replacement in the Bobby Fleet band with the beat!
12, Which character who left, other than Barney, do you wish had continued their role?
Gomer was more fun than cousin Goober.
13, If you’d like to tell us anything personal about yourself, do so now or tick a lock.
I have a TAGS compelsion!

Very few movies have touched me like that one for some reason. Nothing really too special, the plot (a May-December love story) has been done to death, it just makes me feel good.

After being dubbed an instigator I took it upon myself to dub thee Dear & Loveable.

I've made my feelings known before about Aunt Bee. As the series went on, the harder it was for me to endure her. She seem to had become a bitter old lady. It may had carried over from her off-camera behavior she had going on with Andy, I don't know. But to me it was like fingernails on a chalkboard just watching her.
