Title: A postcard from Mt. Airy
Post by Mary Grace on Apr 11th, 2008 at 7:42pm
Maybe you all have seen this already, but I just ran across this postcard, and thought it was so neat to have a postcard from Mt. Airy!

Some day, I'd love to visit North and South Carolina. But for now, I'm travelling through postcard visits.  ;D

I knew Mt. Airy was small but just two buildings and a gazebo?  Wow that is country living!  ;D

If you want to learn more about the White Sulphur Springs Hotel, you can visit the following link..

http://www.freestateofpatrick.com/dinkyrr3.htm

It gives a history of the "Mt. Airy & Eastern" railroad that ran by the springs as well as telling about the area.  There is also a link there to learn more about the springs.  There is even a picture of your postcard there!

The site is currently under development as an upscale residential neighborhood.
