Does anyone have a nice face-shot of Aunt Bee, or a screen capture that shows her face pretty well? I haven't been able to find one at all, except for a very tiny one.

Nope. I think the wig makes her look better. :) Her natural hair color made her look older than she actually was.

To be honest, it has the same effect on me that ghosts and Bigfoot have on Seth. It don't scare me but it is unsettling. ;D

Well, since I'm used to seeing Aunt Bee in black and white, the color is rather startling to me. ;D
The style doesn't really look bad on her, but the color is so light that it kind of washes her right out.
