Alright then.  I reckon that lady in A was Andy Griffiths first wife Barbara Bray Edwards Griffith and that man in B was Colin Male who played a game warden in Andy & Helen's Big day and was also the voice over announcer in the opening scenes of TAGS.

My dad always called it a bush ax. He was a surveyor for the state of NC and that was a regular tool of his trade.

Well, I know that Goober got arrested because he wrote "$200" underneath a bunch of numbers without puttin' a line between 'em.  Maybe you can get away with that in the big city, but they don't cotton to that sorta thing in Mayberry.

Frenchie, if you will look at the top of page 4 in this thread you will see that on January 31 Uncle Nat posted in response 45 that it was Mayfield and that Nat Pike confirmed he gave the correct answer shortly thereafter.

Sam, my dad called that thing in your photo a "Lively Lad". 
Anybody else ever heard it called that?  He used one with a wooden handle to clear the weeds out of the big ditch and to cut a path to the garden.
