Please pray for my husband, who will have quadruple bypass surgery early next week. He has other health problems so it's a risk.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My husband had triple-bypass surgery Monday. He came through the surgery fine and, today, (Thursday) they removed his chest tubes. That is a major milestone. Thank you Lord. He is walking 4 times a day and the doctor wants him to sit in a chair most of the day today.

I have come home (about 30 mi.) from St. Thomas Heart/Baptist in Nashville--near where Floyd goes when he messes up REAL bad on the Lonely Hearts Club--to wash myself and my clothes and will be heading back in a few minutes.

I sleep on a cot in his room and am real comfy. While I'm waiting for the clothes to dry I had to catch up on my TAGS friends.

Thanks, buddies. We have many miles to go but the really rocky one has gone very well so far.

P.S. My hubby hasn't used a wheelchair yet, but when he's ready to come home I will check that one VERY carefully. You never know what kind of NUT might loosen the nuts. OOPS! Sorry Karl. Didn't mean nothin'.

And what a dutiful wife you are, being by his side like that.
I'd say he's a blessed feller, in more ways than one.

That's great news Thelscuz...give him our best. I knowed all them prayers would work. Now, I fear you have been listening too much to Frenchie and have somehow gotten the impression I am dangerous. I assure you nothing could be further from the truth, just as long and I don't get upset. Now Frenchie on the other hand is a different matter entar. Poor guy just can't handle getting dumped by that pretty little finger nail filer. He even thinks now he is an astronaut and has took to posting fake marriage licenses on here. I got him a room reserved here at the hospital though. It is one of our best rooms, even has soft walls. Now...don't you fret none about any wheelchairs cause that ain't my style. You hang in there and keep taking care of that man of yorn. Sounds like both of you is real fortunate to have each other. By the way, the medical community frowns on terms such as "nuts" to describe my condition. The proper term they use is "half a bubble off of plumb".

Things are moving along--slowly. My hubby has had some setbacks and we've been back to two heart doctors in Nashville this week. But they feel he is making progress--just not as well as they would wish. Thanks to all of you again for your prayers and good wishes.

When I need a boost I always come to Miss Crump's Blackboard, home of TAGS fans--some of the best folks around.
