A very funny movie, with some TAGS connections, is coming to home video...

WHO'S MINDING THE MINT? (1966) will be released to DVD by Sony on February 7, an addition to the studio's MOD "Columbia Classics" catalog. Not sold in stores, it will be available thru various online etailers (Warner Archive, Amazon, etc.) and some mail catalogs.

Directed by Howard Morris ('Ernest T. Bass'), it stars Jim Hutton, Dorothy Provine, Walter Brennan, Jack Gilford, Milton Berle, Joey Bishop, Victor Buono, Bob Denver ('Dud Wash' # 2), Jackie Joseph ('Ramona Ankrum') and Jamie Farr ("The Gypsies").

...and, Colin Male, the voice-over announcer at the opening of TAGS. Also noticed, Emil Sitka, perennial 3 Stooges co-star, has a role. I've always liked this movie. Remember seeing it for the first time when I was hospitalized as a kid.

The Producer of WMTM was Norman Maurer, Moe Howard's son-in-law. Besides Emil Sitka as a Mint janitor, Don Lamond (Larry Fine's son-in-law, and a popular L.A. TV host) and Moe's grandson Jeffrey Maurer have cameo appearances.
