Title: I saw street car tracks in Mayberry Post by Jay on Jan 15th, 2012 at 11:05pm
Tonite while watching the Aunt Bee and the funny money printers episode after Andy shot out the tire with Warren's gun I think I saw street car tracks under the car.
In a town the size of Mayberry, how far you think a streetcar route would be? 20 blocks or 30 feet? I remember seeing Mayberry on Star Trek in the Grunps episode. Now I have to watch other mid 60s shows to figure which one also used the street with the real estate office and had a streetcar :-/ |

The street car track runs perpendicular to 'Main Street' where the CH is. It is just beyond the Movie Theater. Believe it or not the Theater is on the corner.
I've never seen a street car on it though. It shows up on HH near the Hauserhoff. Land of the Giants; Ghost Town episode (viewable on Hulu) ,and a Western serial TV show "Sheriff of Cochise County/U.S.Marshal" I've discussed in another thread... I'm sure there are others. |
