However, a noticeably thinner Curly, outfitted as a chef with a handlebar mustache, was photographed for one of the film's publicity shots... that shot appears on both MALICE's 1-sheet and title lobby card. A few years ago, while doing research in director Jules White's files at the Motion Picture Academy library, I discovered the script page for Curly's brief scene.
A couple years ago, a color, 16mm reel of home movies was uncovered in a private collection, showing Moe, Larry & Curly at work on a few of their 1940s short subjects on the Columbia lot.
