He has every right to express his opinion. A major problem I have with that PSA/ad is it was probably paid for by our tax dollars and Andy's Sheriff of Mayberry/Matlock personae are being used to promote an unpopular social program. Had it been produced as "Andy Griffith-private citizen" and maybe better yet with his own money, I'd have felt a lot better.

But no, there's nothing in the video that exploits TAGS or Matlock. We can't even accuse Andy of selling out, since this is probably a cause he personally believes in.
