To be honest, I have seen Sling Blade one time....never claimed to be an expert.  Sorry I don't live up to your standards.

Karl never mention lawnmower blade and Kaiser blade like that in the same sentence.

Take one point away from you.

Sling Blade / Kaiser blade, To-may-to / To-mah-to.

Why don't jut compromise and call it a billhook?

Ah Nat, now don't go gettin' all pucker mouthed.  They ain't nobody mad at you, including me.  After you've been around here a while you'll learn that I poke a lot of fun at folks, mainly myself....and that is what it is....just fun.   None of us take things very seriously.  You should try it yourself....you might live longer and be happier to boot! Wink

My dad always called it a bush ax. He was a surveyor for the state of NC and that was a regular tool of his trade.

Thanks for the picture Sam, made me think of dear ol' dad.  Smiley

Well, I know that Goober got arrested because he wrote "$200" underneath a bunch of numbers without puttin' a line between 'em.  Maybe you can get away with that in the big city, but they don't cotton to that sorta thing in Mayberry.

I believe this was the last scene in which Howard McNear appears on the show.
