HOT BUTTERED RUM

Posted by: TheMaskedSinger on 12/07/97 07:34:19 CST

*1 lb butter
*1 lb brown sugar
*1 tspn cinnamon
*1 tspn cloves (ground)
*1 tspn alspice (I just go WILD with alspice)
*1 tspn nutmeg
*3 beaten eggs

By now, based on the ingredients, you should be getting the idea that this is not good for you.

Melt butter (don't burn it) and add spices to the melted butter.
Mix eggs and brown sugar.
Mix together and beat 3-4 minutes, until thick and consistent.

I usually put this stuff in a tupperware and keep it in the fridge. When you're ready to use it, just:

Fill a cup with hot water, add 1-2 teaspoons of the mix and 2 ounces of rum.
It tastes really good without the rum, too. It will keep in the refridgerator for quite a while so you can dip into it whenever you want.
