SWEET DOUGH INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup margarine (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
2 tspn salt
1 cup scalded milk (cooled a bit, but still very warm)
2 pkg. yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110-115 F)
2 eggs, beaten
4-4 1/2 cups flour

Blend salt, sugar and margarine, gradually adding milk. (with mixer)

Blend the yeast into the warm water stirring until blended.

Add the eggs and 2 cups of the flour. Continue adding the flour until it makes a ball and is difficult to stir. Then put onto a floured counter and knead. (I KNEAD it, Burt. I LOVE it, Burt) Add more flour if necessary. Raise until doubled in size.

INTERIOR INGREDIENTS

2 lbs hamburger
2 medium onions, chopped
1/2 to 3/4 of a head of cabbage, chopped thinly
salt and pepper if desired

Brown hamburger with onions right in the same skillet. Add the cabbage and cook until soft. Cool the mixture.

MAKING THE CABBAGE BURGERS

Punch down dough-roll out into a rectangle. Cut into squares, 4"X4"
Scoop hamburger mixture into center of each square, pinch opposite corners together.

Set on cookie sheets, let rise.
Bake @ 375 for about 15 minutes.

This is a pain in the neck, but they're GOOOOOD, mouth-watering, is what they are.
