1 cup clear Karo syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 2/3 Cup white sugar(more or less to your taste)
1 small jar peanutbutter (smoothe or crunchy)
4 Cups crushed (or uncrushed) unsweetened corn flakes
(choc chips, nuts, marshmallows, etc. may be added if you let it set and cool before putting on cookie sheet)
in large saucepan over medium heat combine first 4 ingreidients stirring constantly as not to scorch until smoothe
turn off heat and remove from burner
stir in corn flakes until completely coated
drop by teaspoonfulls onto waxed paper on cookie sheet
cool in refrigerator uncovered
store in ziploc bags out of fridge
yield about 3 dozen or so
