1 Tbsp butter
1/4 - 1/2 cup onion
1/2 - 1 clove minced garlic
1 can cream of celery soup
1 - 3 oz cube of cream cheese (softened)
3-4 cups frozen southern style potatoes o'brien
1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
heat oven to 400
butter 1 qt. casserole dish
saute onions and garlic in butter in 1 qt. saucepan
stir in undiluted soup and the cream cheese and cheddar cheese
cook & stir until smooth and hot.
in the casserole dish, layer the potatoes and sauce, ending with a layer of sauce.
cover & bake for 45 min or until sauce is bubbly & potatoes are tender.
remove from oven & sprinkle with a little cheese
