Melt 1 stick margarine/butter on cookie sheet in 325 degree oven.
Put 2 egg whites in mixing bowl and beat with wire whisk till frothy.
Add 1 cup sugar and a dash of salt.
Mix in 1 pound of pecan halves and bake 7 minutes.
Remove from oven and turn pecans over.
Bake 8 more minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Store in airtight container.
