This is TOO easy, which makes it even better......
1 c brown sugar
2 sticks butter
Package of saltine crackers
1 bag of chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Create the bottom crust by laying whole crackers on a baking sheet (with an edge so the stuff doesn't spill over). You may need to break a few in half to fill in the gaps. (I guess the cracker bakers and the pan makers never got together for a standard size)
Preheat oven to 350.
Bring the butter and brown sugar to a boil and continue to stir while boiling for 3 minutes. Pour over crackers, distributing evenly. Bake in oven for 5 mins then turn off the oven.
Sprinkle the chips on top and put back in the oven for a minute or so to soften them. Spread the chips to create a chocolate layer, sprinkle with nuts and let cool in the refrigerator.
Break apart into any size desired and enjoy.
