July 24, 2019 - Msg 112635: Thank you, porchsters, for all the sweet birthday wishes. I never expected to be 80 years old, but here I am! A little battered and beat-up, perhaps, but still functional and enjoying every minute of it!

It's been great to see some of the old-timers stopping by to visit - AC, Ang, SMH and Sarah. It's good to hear from you. It looks like maybe Sarah has decided to stick around, and we're hoping the rest of you will as well. I just went back in the archives, 20 years or more, and my goodness, we've lost a lot of folks! It would be just great if everyone would come home, at least for a visit.

So far, my birthday has been very quiet and peaceful, just Trinket and I, playing and watching TV. My son and his family are taking me out to dinner tonight, and then next week, they're doing the party here at the house, that I think I told you about earlier. Did I tell you we decided to postpone it a week, because about five or six of my closest church friends are out of town all this week. They went to Branson to see some shows and just hang out. I used to go on those trips, but I wasn't about to go off and leave Trinket, as young as she is, and the trips usually involve more walking than I care to do, anyway. They'll return on Friday, and we'll have my party next week.

You folks are just the cats, you know that? Just the cats!! --Romeena

July 24, 2019 - Msg 112636: Enjoy your birthday dinner Romenna. Are you going to take Trinket with you?

July 25, 2019 - Msg 112637: HAPPY BELATED 80TH TO ROMEENA!! God bless you and keep you; may He shine His face upon you, and bring you His peace. :) (Numbers 6:22)
Today was a doctor/errand day. Coumadin test, then allergist, then Costco for an Rx and polish dog, then a gym workout. Yup, I'm definitely back in the 'routine!' ha
Yes ASA, those dial phones would make Sarah lose her job, of all the gall. lol
GF--anything BIG happen at the meet-up? Cool that you and Maudie got to see each other.
Possum--good to see ya, how's your summer going?
On FB i frequent a page called "Remembering Phx" and I just posted about having a
Water Wiggle. Remember those? That was our Water Park of the day! Simpler times, with a simple hose. :)

July 25, 2019 - Msg 112638: Good evening, porch. Just got home from Eloise's house. We all went back there for cake after eating at a Mexican restaurant. And yes, I took Trinket with me. Not to the restaurant, of course. When we left to go there, I put her in a bathroom with a piddle pad, some water and an old towel to curl up on. Diesel was there, but we didn't put him in the little bathroom with her. If they got to playing in that confined space, he could hurt her without meaning to, so he got to stay out in the rest of the house. They surely did play after we got home, though. My little buzzsaw chased him around, and he finally got up on the sofa to get away from her! He's such a sweet, good boy!

Well, I'm tired! I think I'll go to bed - it's after midnight, actually, so I guess it's time. Sweet dreams, friends. --Romeena

MDC, Thanks for that link. I have seen that before. Jared does a great job breaking things down like that. Here is a clip of the decent of the LEM on 11. It's gonna make you feel you're right there in it. Amazing hw Gene Kranz was able to orchestrate all the comm going on here as you will see.

Romeena, so glad you had a nice birthday. I was going to call you and wish you one, but I got involved with the grand kiddies and some of what they were doing, I just plum ran out of time. BTW, How does it feel to be officially middle age now? :)

Poor old GF got his room key from Cousin Virgil right after he had cleaned it up with some emery cloth. lol

MDC, They are calling for rain for us today from that same tropical stuff y'all are getting. We'll see. I enjoy that episode with Mr. Maxwell also. It's funny how nervous Barney gets when trying to talk into the recorder mike. The way he grabs his gun and says how he lets this baby do his talking for him. lol Good old Barn.

GF, Getting close to the HOF game in your neck of the woods, ain't it? I sure wish I could get excited about football like I used too. Even my wife has commented on how she wishes I would. Now that's a good wife.

Well, off to do my grocery shopping for the week. Then home to do laundry. It's a fun day. :)

July 26, 2019 - Msg 112651: Good morning, porch! It's a beautiful, clear and breezy day here, but I'd really appreciate some rain. Somebody send some this way, please??

G-F, I grew up in and around San Antonio. As you probably know, the Alamo sits right in the heart of the downtown district, amid all the big department stores, the main post office, and a big hotel. It has been beautifully restored, and is a prime tourist attraction. Yet, I was 15 before I ever toured the Alamo. The only reason I did it then - some out of town relatives were visiting and wanted to see it, so I went with them. I had seen it hundreds of times from the outside, of course, but had never actually entered the site and toured the inside. It's fascinating, actually.

Well, gotta get moving. I'm taking Tillie to the car doctor this morning. While she's in the shop, Eloise and I are going to get our toes done. Yesterday, we went to the theater and saw the new "Lion King". Don't miss it. It's a masterpiece! Beautifully done, and so many positive messages in it. I strongly recommend it.

Well, have a good day, everyone! --Romeena

July 27, 2019 - Msg 112653: Gf's Indians, Frankie's As, and Spot's Braves are all doing pretty well still... we'll see how it goes.
Yesterday BOO posted a pic on FB of a Diamondback that she and Bruce encountered whilst on their trip. So THAT's what happened to Randy Johnson. ha
(A thought joke)
ASA--Not sure about Utah, but why they call this a 'monsoon' period in AZ is overkill IMHO. We usually get a whole 3 inches in the whole three month period! ha On the other hand, the PHILIPPINES, now THEY have a monsoon season!! :)
RO--regarding landmarks, my dad did take us to see the Grand Canyon when I was about 10, and I have seen it about ten times since. It never gets old. I hiked down to the bottom and back up 3 times. The last mile up was always pure agony. So why did i do it 3 times? I have no idea why! LOL
Also, we'll wait for the Lion King to come to our 3 dollar theater. I just can't cotton to 12 dollars
to see it here as a first run movie. Sounds good tho.
I hope Tillie is OK, and maybe just in for an oil change.
Prayers for all,
MDC

July 27, 2019 - Msg 112654: Good morning all.

Hey Boo, glad you got home safe and sound. We await the details of your trip. Spare nothing! :)

Romeena, If we had any rain, I'd send some to you. It never got this far north yesterday. Just cloud coverage, cooler temps but higher humidity. I hope Tillie gets a clean bill of health. Are you getting your toes done to make them look more tempting for Trinket? lol

Yea MDC. Sometimes those 3 inches of rain come all at once though, at least up here. Ain't it crazy, the cost of movies these days? And if you add the cost of a bag of popcorn and a drink? Forget it. My Stacey took me to go see First Man back in October as a retirement gift (my first day of being retired). That was the first movie I have gone to in many years. I will say, the seating they have is sure nice though. I was watching a trailer on youtube yesterday that shows Tom Hanks playing the part of Mr. Rodgers. Looked pretty good, but you never know what hollyweird will do to it.

GF, I hope your Wife's appointment went well. Did he tell her to loosen anything? :) We are no spring chickens anymore.

Sarah and Frankie, where you two be?

Hope everyone has a pleasant day.

July 27, 2019 - Msg 112656: Well Asa, I will try to spare you the boring details. It was a fairly relaxing trip UNTIL the drive home and I was trying to follow Bruce across Texas! I was driving my suburban and he was driving a car that he was issued from his work. The traffic was terrible and talk about crazy drivers! I was in more than one near-miss but we made it home. The traffic from San Antonio to Corpus Christi was nearly bumper to bumper. I couldn't believe it. Awful. Besides that, though, it was a good trip. San Angelo isn't huge but not a small town by any means, either. I never saw so many fast food joints in a town that size, ever. Many restaurant choices but I am always somewhat limited, being a vegetarian. I guess since San Angelo is a college town, they have many eating establishments and lots of young people running around. Mostly, I went shopping, visited a bordello museum in the heart of town. I posted some pics on Facebook. It was an old bordello in the upstairs of one of the oldest buildings in town, called Miss Hattie's and was very much in its original state. It was a booming business from the late 1800s until 1952, when it was closed by Texas rangers.

I also visited El Dorado where I saw the temple that Warren Jeffs built out in the middle of nowhere. He spent 20 million dollars building the huge, white eyesore, abused young girls in it and was finally brought to justice by the great state of Texas. It was very creep seeing it in the distance, behind a locked gate, and knowing the horrible things that happened there. Very sad.

Not much else to say, really. The trip was mostly relaxation and just doing what I wanted to do. Very relaxing. Poor Bruce had to work a lot but we did get to go out in the evenings and he drove out to El Dorado with me to see the temple. He thought I was crazy, but he kind of kept it to himself. lol

On the way home we stopped at an amazing oddities/antique shop in a town called Brady. I never saw anything like it. More interesting stuff in one place than I had ever seen. if you can imagine it..anything...it's there. Seeing that place was worth the trip in itself!

Well, going to finish my oatmeal and rest a bit. I have to work later today. Later Tators!

July 27, 2019 - Msg 112660: Good morning, porch! Beautiful day here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Lots of fluffy clouds, big patches of blue behind them, and a fairly stiff little breeze blowing! It's my day to water, so I've got the sprinklers running, but the breeze is just aerosolizing the water and blowing it away!

Oh, the bliss of it all! Trinket has been chewing on my toes all morning, every chance she could find. A few minutes ago, she came ambling by and stopped to plant a few puppy kisses on my foot, then proceeded to lie down across my foot and fall asleep! Her little warm self feels so good! (A lot better than her sharp little teeth, for sure!)

Boo, welcome home! Sounds like you had a great trip, for the most part. It's good that you and Bruce had a little time to yourselves, away from the challenges at home.

I know what you mean about the feeling you got when you saw that "temple" that ol' Jeffs built in El Dorado. I pass through there when I'm going to Fredericksburg, and have had the same impression. I don't like to think of the things that took place there, all supposedly in the name of the Lord, and by self-proclaimed men who consider themselves products of a church, but that church doesn't claim them, and in fact wants no part of them. They aren't a part of the established LDS church, never were and never will be. It's like that wretched old Fred Phelps and his Westboro "Baptist" Church. He and his followers are not Baptists, they're Phelps Followers. That "church", founded by Phelps, never reached more than 100 in membership, and 90% of them were his family and extended family. He died a while back, and his family is supposedly still keeping it going, but you don't hear much about them anymore. Thank the Lord! (Mercy! How did I get off on that rant?)

Trinket was dreaming, and moved around a little. Now she's lying alongside my foot, with her head right beside one of my chair's wheels! If I were to move this chair a half inch, it would run right over her little soft pink ear. Good Grief! I can't stand to think of that! Trust me, this chair is not going to budge until she moves! She is so sweet!

G-F, I wish I could come fish with you a while. Better yet, I'd like to send my grandson, Hudson. That boy loves to fish better than anything! He's 16, and he'd rather be down at the lake with his aunt and uncle, catching huge carp and catfish, and the occasional big bass, than anything else you could name. He's a catch-and-release fisherman, too.

Well, guess I'd better go have some lunch. Eloise and I ate at Pie Five yesterday, and I bought an extra pizza and brought it home. I'll have part of it for lunch, and finish it off tonight! Leftover pizza is wonderful, especially if you know how to reheat it properly. Don't microwave it!! That makes the crust tough and the toppings soggy. Instead, put a little olive oil in a non-stick skillet, and spread it around. Lay the pizza slices in and move them around a little to be sure the oil is distributed evenly. Put a lid on the skillet, turn the heat to low and let it heat for about 4-5 minutes. When the toppings feel quite warm to the touch, remove the slices and enjoy! It will taste like it just came out of the pizza oven, maybe a little better with the added olive oil.

Pie Five is a build-your-own pizza place, one price, one size fits all. They will keep putting toppings on, and they have a bunch, until you're satisfied. Then they run it through an oven, it comes out the other side and you have your pizza. They're about $8, and I can't eat a whole one. I have half for lunch yesterday, half for dinner, and now I have another whole one for today. Yes, I like leftovers, and I really like pizza! If you can't locate a Pie Five, look for Five Guys Burgers, because they're usually close to each other.

Well, away I go. Got to move Trinket before I can move my chair and get up. I hate to wake her! Blessings, friends! -- Romeena

July 27, 2019 - Msg 112661: Well Gang I do believe I caught Old Sam today! In my case he’s a Small Mouth Bass and not a Carp... I don’t have pictures but I do have witnesses!...So you will have to take my “Word as a Gentleman”...lol I haven’t caught fish this size for a Long Long time. This small lake sure has some big Fish in it and a lot of nice size bluegills and catfish too...

I haven’t fished this much in a long time it’s been fun to just catch‘em and let them go. I do believe Old Sam gave me that same look he gave Howard when he put him back in the lake too..You know that look 👀 he does...That says...Thanks a lot see you another day my friend!...

July 28, 2019 - Msg 112662: Ro, I read that old Fred Phelps had a change of heart before he died and that his family and church excommunicated him! He really made his bed and had to sleep in it, I guess.

My Poopsie dog isn't feeling well. She seems to have some gastrointestinal issue and has just been lying around, which is very odd for her. I hope and pray she will be feeling better tomorrow. I told Bruce tonight that I wonder why kids and dogs always get sick on the weekend so it isn't easy to take them to the vet. She doesn't seem dehydrated and isn't throwing up but has had some loose BMs. I hope she didn't get into anything toxic. I suspect she would be throwing up if she had, though.

I am tired tonight. I had a kid at work who tried to kill himself so I had to deal with that. Thank God, a staff member was doing room checks and caught him in time. He had even written a suicide note so he meant business.

Im working tomorrow too but will try to check in.

Boo

July 28, 2019 - Msg 112663: Good Sabbath all.

Well GF, sounds like you had a great day out there in ma nature's playground. So did you see any lake looms while fishing? Cook anything with a fire started by constriction? You gotta remember that those fires burn a lot hotter than match started fires. :)

Boo, sounds like you had a good time. Traffic notwithstanding. I hope your Poopsie is ok. Did she go with you on your trip? Our little Sammy never went on our vacations, but we left him with either my MIL, or with out oldest Daughter after she got married. No matter who though, our being gone seemed to upset his system, and the result was loose BM's. Some furkids are just wired that way I think.

Romeena, I have never heard of that Pie-five place. Sounds good though. I like pizza, but I have finally realized pizza doesn't like me, at least the tomato sauce that most pizza's have on them. Domino's makes a Philly cheese pizza, with no tomato sauce on it, and I like it pretty well. I guess the sauce does not agree with me. I will have to try your reheating idea. I tend to eat left over pizza cold because trying to reheat it ruins it. Hmm, now I want pizza.

Good to hear from you Billy. I know how difficult making that call to hang up the old mailbag is. But if your financial situation is such that you can do it, then I would strongly recommend it. I know my back has sure responded nicely to my retirement. And it's great to go see the Grandkids during the day, or go to some of their school events. Can't beat that.

When I went shopping the other morning I wasn't feeling so good. Had a bit of an upset tummy. Thus nothing sounded really good, and as a result I ended up not buying much. My wallet was happy, but now I don't have much for fixins for the week. Oh what a tangled web I have weaved. lol

Hope everyone has a nice day.

July 28, 2019 - Msg 112665: Well, Asa, you would do very well at Pie Five. They offer a choice of four or five sauces to go on your pizza, and one of them is not tomato, I think it's like an Alfredo sauce or something. I always just go for the original pizza sauce. You get to choose your crust, then your sauce, then you start choosing toppings and they will put anything you ask for on it. Eloise usually gets just three or four things, but I go for just about everything in the bins. There are at least five or six meats, from pepperoni to bacon, and at least twelve or more veggies - mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, onions, red and green peppers, artichoke hearts, and much more. It's like I told a couple behind me in the line last week, when they asked me if the pizza was good - if you don't like your pizza, you have only yourself to blame, because you designed it yourself! Just Google Pie Five Pizza Locations for more information. I did, and it looks like they're not in Utah yet, but they're promoting it.

I know what you mean about shopping being affected by how you feel. I have learned to eat a little something before I go grocery shopping, or I'll buy much too much, because everything sounds good! So, I make a general list, eat something, and go to the store. I follow the list so I don't forget anything, but I do some impulse buying as well, letting things I see inspire me. I just do a lot less of that if I'm not hungry! I've got some very nice country-style pork ribs in the slow cooker right now. They were originally $12+, but because their expiry date was coming up, they were marked down to $4. I jumped on that, and they're smelling pretty good right now! They're large, about two pounds of beautiful pork, and will be good tonight with rice and a veggie, and then tomorrow with some kraut, probably about two meals worth. Not bad for four bucks.

Well, gotta run. Blessings, porch! --Romeena

July 29, 2019 - Msg 112667: Well, I'm just feeling like Ms. Thing today! My birthday dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, and this morning, a young lady appeared at my front door, and informed me that David and Brittney had sent her over to clean the house for me! Actually, I had been told this would happen, but suddenly, there she was! I'm guessing she's about 19, and she's working hard and doing a fine job. I do what I can, but until I get this back thing fixed, there's a limit to what I can do. I sit until it stops hurting, then get up and work until it starts hurting, which is usually pretty quickly, then sit down again, etc. She's dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and generally making the house look inviting. I keep the kitchen and bathrooms clean, so nothing to do there. Heather and Trip (grandson) are on their way up from Fredericksburg today, not sure when they'll be here. She's staying until Thursday, so we'll have a good visit.

Boo, I'm glad Poopsie is feeling better. Sometimes I think they just eat something they shouldn't have, and you'll never know what it was. Trinket is definitely exploring the world with her mouth right now, so no telling what she'll eat before she grows up a little.

Well, back to work. Blessings, everyone! --Romeena

HI ALL, I have just been busy tinkering and such around the house the last few days. I have been reminiscing on FB about the days of summer when I was a youngster...everything from running thru the sprinkler to 'watermelon busts' in the park! Going barefoot, slip and slides,
5 cent ice cream cones, AM cartoons, etc. Then all of a sudden I was 'all growed up!'
Hope you alls summers are going well. Tonight's tags was about the new doctor in town. I love it when Andy is trying to get out of his 'engagement' at the end, such a funny scene!
All else is going well. BOO, I'm glad you had a good away time with Bruce. RO, that is very cool to get your house cleaned, what a thoughtful gift!
Sarah and all, we still have a set of Sears pots and pans given to us as a wedding gift 43 years ago! That is why it is so sad to see Sears closing. They were a little pricey, but their stuff was good!

July 30, 2019 - Msg 112672: Sarah, yes, I agree, "Monkey" Wards (as my dad used to say) had good stuff also! That is too funny about the microwave that wouldn't quit! Glad your Sears is still open. All here have closed except one! I used to get "Outdoor Life" clothes there. I also used their auto service shop all the time, good service and long hours. Die Hard batteries are about the only ones that last in our desert heat.
GF-Thanks for the link! Very cool to see everyone enjoying themselves with such good, old fashioned fun!
Hey ALL, we got RAIN, wonderful rain tonight. It is so refreshing
here when it falls. It clears out the dust, etc, and everything smells so fresh.
Y'all have a nice evening.
Prayers,

July 31, 2019 - Msg 112679: Happy birthday to Boo and Possum! I'd write more, but the family is here, they're stringing up balloons and banners, I'm wearing a beautiful tiara placed on my head by my son-in-law, with a big hug, and they won't let me do a stinkin' thing! I did get to bathe Trinket, since everyone else was afraid to tackle that job. She looks adorable, so fluffy and white. Guests will start arriving around 6:30, and two couples are coming whom I haven't seen in several years, and I can hardly wait to see them. David decided not to go with catering, but rather just buy the makings for some wonderful fajitas (very popular in Texas) and let everyone serve themselves and build whatever they want. Great idea! We'll use Chinet, and cleanup will be a breeze. Not that it will matter to me, because they won't let me help. I truly feel like Queen for a Day! Blessings, everyone! -- Romeena

August 01, 2019 - Msg 112682: Thanks everyone! It was a good birthday. Sounds like Romeena had a terrific day and I am so glad!!

Thank you Romenna, for the adorable birthday card! It arrived today and I loved it. You are so kind to take the time. ❤️

My birthday was not especially eventful but that’s what I wanted. Bruce brought home a cake and a sweet card And told me to go shopping for some things I wanted for my guest room makeover. I told him I didn’t want to go out and asked him to bring me Taco Bell. Lol. So, we all sat around the table, along with two of Erin’s friends, and ate. The cake Bruce brought home said, “Happy 57th Birthday Big Girl!”. Lol. I love it. That’s one of his pet names for me and I like it. The kids have been calling me big mama for years. I guess it’s kind of a southern thing. Ever see Cat in A Hot Tin Roof?

Well, I should get to bed. I’m working tomorrow. Love to all!

August 01, 2019 - Msg 112684: Well, the birthday thing has come and gone, and a big event it was! I can't believe all that the kids did. It began with D&B sending the young lady by to clean the house on Monday, and she did a stellar job. Then Heather arrived before noon on Tuesday, and Amanda (my precious granddaughter)got here Tuesday evening, and she and her Aunt Heather really got busy. They had more fun, and you never heard such laughing and chatter. Music to my ears!

They were prepping the veggies (onions, red and green peppers and a few mild to moderate chili peppers) to be gently sauteed to go with the fajitas on Wednesday. David had ordered mostly beef and some chicken pre-cooked at a local carniceria (meat market), we got wonderful handmade tortillas, both flour and corn, from my favorite tortilleria, and bang! we had fajitas! Sour cream and salsa on the serving line, some beans from the carniceria, and we were good to go.

We had about 45 people here, some of whom were old friends from years ago who have moved out of Irving and now go to a different church, but they're still in the area. It was wonderful seeing them! At no point in any of this was I allowed to do any of the preparation, I had to wear my tiara, and I found a tiny one that was Toye Starr's, for Trinket to wear. Of course, it wouldn't stay in her baby hair, but it made for a cute picture.

As for Trinket, she surveyed the room, and I know she was thinking "so many toes, so little time!" but she rarely even made it to the floor, she was just passed from lap to lap. which she loved.

Finally, we had birthday cake, and it was beyond delicious. Brittney had ordered it from a bakery in Keller, and the frosting was just wonderful. We hated to cut it, because it was so pretty. On the bottom tier, it was a two-layer chocolate cake, with a slightly smaller tier on top, which was a white cake. All of it was covered thickly with frosting roses. Solid roses, different colors, and just absolutely beautiful. The frosting was so good I could have eaten it with a spoon, and my friend Donna did! She doesn't care for cake, but she would live on frosting, and can eat it like pudding. Too funny! People were "donating" some of their frosting to her, and she would take it! There was plenty to donate, it was an inch and a half thick.

All in all, we had a perfectly wonderful evening, renewed some valued old friendships, and I felt so loved and honored. David's boys, Landry and Hudson, were so precious. They were everywhere at once, because several guests were even older than I am, and needed a little help now and then. Those boys were right there, helping up or down a step, pulling out a chair, whatever. They bussed tables, refilled tea glasses, just generally made themselves useful. We used paper plates and plastic utensils, and had a big trash bag in the utility room, so cleanup was easy. I have a big bouquet of balloons, and I have my beautiful tiara. I always wanted a tiara!

Well, I've beaten your ears down enough with my party stuff. I think I'll go find some lunch. We sent almost all the leftover food home with people, and when Heather and Edwin and Amanda left around 11, I made sure they took the rest home with them. I kept enough to make two meals and I'm glad the rest is gone.

Thanks to all of you for the birthday wishes, and I wish you could all have been here last night. Now that would have really been fun! --Romeena

August 01, 2019 - Msg 112685: Glad you had such a wonderful birthday celebration, Ro! And I'm happy that yours was nice as well, Boo! August 01, 2019 - Msg 112686: Can y'all believe that the censor got me for using this word ( let me see if I can get it on here without that old crazy censor coming after me again.) I told Ro that she says the SWEETEST things, but my original post used the word NICE. Now add the "est" to it,and that's what the censor got me for. Apparently the censor is dyslexic and thought I posted a word that means when family members act "inappropriately" with one another! Kooky ol' censor!

August 03, 2019 - Msg 112687: HI GANG, I guess everyone is still recuperating from the birthday celebrations!! So glad you three ladies had good parties, and we even cleaned up O'Malley's place before he got home! ha
POSSUM, that is really funny...a dyslexic censor! (or is that dyslexci sencor) har har. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Last night's tags was about Sam Becker, and his pregnant wife (whom we never even see!) I love Andy's line to Barney:"Ya think ol' Sam has a muddy elephant up at his place?"
Also, blooper-wise... If Andy took the squad car to Sam's, how did Barney get there? Hmmm
Tonight was the Jim Lindsey ep #2. Always a good one.
I have been getting more done around the house, and also did some grocery shopping today. Our Kroger owned Fry's stores have a 'senior day' each first Wed. of the month, so we try to hold off on big items until then.
Hey to Frankie, Spot, Boo, MBM, Billy Ray, and all!
Have a great weekend all,
MDC

August 03, 2019 - Msg 112689: Hey all.
Thanks for the shout out GF. I am fine but we have been having some connection issues here again. Very spotty signals and even spottier response from Century Link.

Sorry I missed the two birthday girls. Happy belated Birthday to Possum and Boo. I hope they were great days for you all.

Romeena, Trinket sounds like she was the hit of your party. Glad you had a good bash at your house.

MDC, I always get a good laugh in the quiet Sam episode when Barney is talking about his time across the pond. lol He doesn't like to talk about it though. :)

Well better go see what I can get done around the house. To dang hot to be outside. Plenty to do inside, but nothing that sounds like any fun. I wonder what causes that.
