1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup cheese crackers crushed (such as cheese nips)
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix (sift, use only the
flakes)
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons steak sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Mix the ground beef, crushed crackers, and onion soup mix flakes in a large bowl. Whisk the eggs, ketchup, and steak sauce in a small bowl until smooth. Mix the eggs into the meat until evenly combined(can add a small amount of water if too dry). Press into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Bake in oven until the meatloaf reaches 160 and is no longer pink in the center, 45 to 60 minutes.
You can line your loaf pan with bread on the bottom to absorb any grease if you are not using lean beef. I have also cooked this on a cookie sheet or quiche pan by forming my own loaf shape or a round circle "o" shaped ring.
