March 01, 2006 - Msg 35134: Good morning, everyone! We've got a beautiful day here on the Dallas end of the porch - hope it's as pretty where y'all are. I'm gonna go buy some bedding plants and start prettyin' up the place.

Does anyone know if there's a Don Knotts rose? There are many named after celebrities, so it's possible. However, not likely, not yet anyway. You can bet I'll be watching, and if one is developed and released, it will have a place of honor in my yard.

I think The Count is back. Yesterday morning, I entered a post, or thought I did, but when I scrolled through this morning to find where I had left off yesterday, it's just not there. I think The Count stole it. (Or maybe I forgot to hit "Post Your Comments". I do that sometimes.)

Isnt it amazing that we have enjoyed these last few days with all these wonderful quotes LOL, and and all without vulgarities in a single one of them, no cuss words or the like. We need to revert back to GOOD humor and just say NO to many of today's "comedians."

March 01, 2006 - Msg 35144: Good morning Porch! Lots to do but I just had to drop by and say "howdy" to all you goo people. You know what I enjoyed most about last nights tribute on TV Land? It was knowing that many of you and other TAGS fans were laughing along with me in spirit, if not body. I like the Deputy/Landlord/Friend tribute that ran also, REV. It was touching.

I'll probably tune in for the TAGS episodes this weekend, but will skip the "Three's Company." I wasn't allowed to watch it as a kid, and had no interest in it when I got a little older. I have since watched a couple of episodes, but didn't really enjoy them (for some of the same reasons I wasn't allowed to watch as a kid, and it seems really dated). I'm no expert, but Mr. Knotts' talents seemed kind of wasted in the show. For them that likes it, hope you enjoy 'em!

Oh, well, break time's over...Have a great day!

March 01, 2006 - Msg 35145: Hey, CT, didn't see you there. Except for Lydia, we all enjoy a little small talk, even during a quote-a-thon.

How's everybody doin'? Its lovely here in Atlanta. Did Spot treat everyone to Cracker Barrel the other day. I had an appointment and couldn't come. Do y'all meet at Windy Hill?

I wanted to agree with everyone about the comments. I'm a so-so 3's company fan, but definitely a TAGS fan.

Gotta get cleaning. Hubby comes home tonight. Have a great day and enjoy the porch.

March 01, 2006 - Msg 35182: BUCKEYE, Thank you for the heads up about Larry King tonight. Folks. You have got to see this if you didn't earlier. I think it's rebroadcast at Midnight EST. on CNN. Great show. Andy, Ron Howard, Jim Neighbors, Don's Daughter Karen and Joyce Dewitt are on there. A must see.

March 01, 2006 - Msg 35183: M-T, I practice a philosophy a little different than what you posted in Msg 35155. Mine goes like this ... "Compromise: Let's agree to respect each other's views, no matter how wrong the other person might be." Notice how I put the blame on the other person rather than myself?

To Goober Msg 35179, although I have seen a few Gaither Family sing-a-longs on television, I did not know who Anthony Burger was. But after your post, I searched about him on the internet and was shocked to learn he was only 44 when he died of a heart attack on that cruise. He's probably singing a cappella with Barney right now up in heaven. May he rest in peace.

MDC-Thank you for the welcome. The hammock doesn't sound like such a good idea, but a rockin' chair sounds great. I've lived in Atlanta for almost 11 years so I almost qualify as a native. Originally I'm from Ky, and miss is sometimes. My stepchildren live in Phoenix, or Glendale actually. During his trip to L.A. he paid them a visit.

I was watching Season 1 #4 tonight. It was bittersweet watching Barney in every episode.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow/today!

Prayers for all, especially Mrs. Wiley with the loss of your dad, and MDC's brother on the loss in his family. Glad your Mrs. wasn't hurt badly in the wreck, Mayberry Deputy.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35190: Sorry, is it 13-A or 14-A-they sang it so very long ago...

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35191: Good morning, everyone. AFD, I know just what you mean, I've been reading, but just couldn't post as freely as I usually do. Seems like there's just not much to say, it's like it's all been said. My family and friends have been sending me condolences, and sharing their own feelings of bereavement as well. Some seem surprised that they feel the way they do, that it would matter to them as much as it does. I think that just shows how much Barney was a part of daily American life.

I've posted this before, but I want to say it again, in this context. Don Knotts held a magnifying glass up to all of us, and the image he saw became Barney Fife. Barney was each of us, squared. Perhaps that's why we loved him so - we saw our own reflection in some of the things we did. In a way, he gave us permission to just be ourselves. Who doesn't do foolish things, say silly things? Who doesn't quake in the face of danger sometimes, or brag, or gossip, even fail a friend, at least temporarily? He was all of us, with all of our weaknesses and failings. Yet in the end, he would rise above it all, and do right. He lived, he laughed, and he loved, just as we all do.

Thanks, Don, for giving us such a comic view of our own selves. Maybe through what you showed us, we'll take ourselves a bit less seriously. Thanks for the memories, Barn!

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35192: To message #35190 - it was 14-A. Welcome to the porch, we hope you'll decide to stay. Find yourself a porch name, if you wish, so we'll know who we're rocking with. You'll find this porch to be a very pleasant place to visit. Most of us drop by at least once a day. Others come when they can, and everyone is always welcome. Any friend of Barney and Andy is a friend of ours. --Romeena

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35193: Good morning, ROMEENA. Looks like you're sittin' solo on the Porch this morning. Did we miss the bus for breakfast? Hey to everybody out there!

The Larry King LIve program last night was very nice. I thought all those on it were wonderful. I found Ron Howard and Joyce DeWitt's comments especially touching. And it was great that everyone kept the focus on Mr. Knotts and not their current projects. I thought Ron Howard's participation was especially telling of his respect for Don Knotts. "The bigger they are, the nicer they are," as Barney would say.

AFD: As far as the naming goes, you first!

Have a great day all.

Last night I was watching the $250,000 episode where barney finds the briefcase. The epilog at the end (which I dont think I have ever seen)shows Barney accidently firing his gun while it is stuck in his suit pants BEHIND him. (He was in plain clothes) Anyone ever see it? I think it is the only time it is not fired while in his holster.
Breakfast is on SPOT today and then fish fry at his place tomorrow night!

MDC, So glad your Mom is recovering from that. At that age it is very scarey. Prayers for her.
I was getting worried about you Romeena. Glad all is well.
Good to see you Boo. How goes the house?
It's always sad to see a person pass away that you have not known on a personal level, but rather thru tv or movies. But this has been very different for me with Don Knotts. It has been way more personal than I could have ever imagined. I have actually shed tears and felt like a huge loss has occured in my life. Is that odd? Have any of you felt this? It's like a member of my family has died. But it was very therapetic (as Barney would say) watching the special last night on Larry King. Karen Knotts, Don's Daughter shared some rare insight to the beloved mans life. If you didn't see it, I hope you get to if it airs again on the weekend or something.

It was kinda weird to see you talk of his wife and daughter because I have never thought of him as having a wife and kids, I always think of him as 35 year old Barney Fife, Mayberry Deputy Sheriff.

Just a quick Don Knotts story, when I worked at Motorola we had to fill out "action reports" when a large amount of material needed to be scraped out and one time after one of the lasers messed-up a bunch of work I used the line, "The awfulness and the horribleness of it will never actually be forgotten." Undecided newcomer..( I do not have a porch name yet....

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35219: Glad to hear your mama is doing much better, MDC.

M-T - How's about I take Hogette since it is French. I have a French last name in real life. : )

Asa - I totally understand what you're feeling, as I feel the same way. From all the episodes I've watched over my lifetime, I've probably spent more time with Barney than many of my family members. And Ro, you are so right - we all have some Barney-ness in us. His character was "real", as real as we humans are. Well said, both of you.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35224: MDC: If you can't find it in the archives, you may try posting your query over at Miss Crump's. Someone over there just recently posted it, so you can probably get your answer.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35225:
Is Thelma Lou deceased also? I know Helen is but not sure about Thelma Lou.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35226:
According to some web research that i just did, Betty Lynn, our beloved Thelma Lou, is still with us; and that got me to thinking of that tender scene of her and Barney window shopping and Barney talking about his den etc. Now he's got a whole mansion!

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35227: Betty is doing fine....recovering from a cold but doing really well. She is, of course, upset about Don Knotts' passing. David "The Mayberry Deputy" Browning talked to her a few days ago and passed along the information to me.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35228: Hey, MDC, guess what I found...

(Sung to the tune of "Oh, My Darlin' Clementine")
In a jailhouse, down in Dixie, fightin' crime and risking life,
Dwelled a sheriff and his buddy, pistol-packing Barney Fife.
Oh, my darin', oh, my darin', oh, my darin' Barney Fife.
He's a deadly crime-stopper, what a copper, Barney Fife.
One day there came a-ridin' two bad men to rob a bank.
But Fife was tricky, a dead-eye dickey. Now they're locked up in the tank.
(Andy added this part:)
Oh, my Barney, oh, my Barney, had a jail and couldn't lock it.
Had one bullet for his pistol, had to keep it in his pocket.

Hey, FLOYD, I hope I get to see you at Mayberry Days this year.

Have a great evening, everyone!

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35229:
THANKS me-they, that made my day! And I have a tear in my eye from both sorrow and joy!

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35230: Hi Asa, to answer your question about the house, we are meeting with the man who is doing the houseplans tonight, so hopefully we will get the ball rolling soon.

While I am sad about Don passing on, I don't think it has affected me as deeply as some of you who have been watching TAGS for a very long time, even growing up with it. I didn't start watching it until I was about 30. I am really sorry I had to miss the Larry King interview, thanks for giving us that site so I can read it.

Having said that, I do however, think I will have a tougher time when Andy passes. He reminds me alot of my Dad when I was growing up.

Better go, got to get ready to talk to "the man" about some houseplans.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35231: Boo, Funny you should say that, Andy reminds me a lot of my dad too. My dad even combed his hair over with that little roll-up in the front like Andy. And he sometimes wore his trousers inside his boots like Andy. He was thin like him too. Yup, Andy is my father-figure.
Charlotte Tucker

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35232: Me-They, Thanks for that link to the Larry King transcript. I tried to stay up late enough to see it at 11 last night but couldn't make it. I enjoyed reading the transcript. Can someone tell me why it always mentions Thelma Lou as unidentified actress? They didn't ask us, we could've told them her name!
Charlotte Tucker

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35233: remember when barney and thelma lou got married and someone gave them a baby bed and barney said what do we need that for? then it hit barney and he said oh! i think opie gave it to them. welcome not got a name yet. for the night owls to ponder::: in cincinati, ohio over 100 years ago an employee forgot to turn their soap making machine off during a lunch break, when theyreturned the whole batch was light. the boss was furious but after tests showed nothing chemicaly wrong he decided to ship it. soon request poured in for the light soap that floats. thus ivory soap was born. i wonder how furious the boss was at that employee and if he said that a boy luther? pleasant dreams my freinds. buckeye

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35234: Boy Buckeye, you sounding a lot like Paul Harvey and his "Rest of the Story". Very interesting story.
Boo, glad your calling the man for them plans. Some things you best not cut corners on.

I just got to wondering why they didn't invite Betty Lynn on to Larry King last night. I mean she was his girl after all. And I agree Charlotte, I can't believe they list her as unidentified female in the transcripts. For the love of Mike, these folks at CNN are living in another world! :)

Has anyone heard when the services for Don are going to be?

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35235: Goha porch im still alot of reading to do ....just got home been teaching classes all day...hope all are well prayers to those in need...hey Ro,boo, mdc,md,goober ...and all..watching American Idol...let me catch up...missed yall....SPOT

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35236: just read ,Buckeye let me tell ya I know my Braves have won 14 straight championships which in my opinion will never be surpassed but let me till ya this years team is very good...very good ..I went to at least 10 or 12 games last year and plan on more this year Turner field is just about 20 minuites from me..SPOT

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35237: Good Evening Friends,

For those of you in the Atlanta area Wb36 is running a Barney marathon on Saturday starting at 7pm.

Me-They- Thank you for the link to the transcript. That will be my bedtime reading tonight.

Romeena- I'm glad your Mother is doing better?

Spot & Buckeye- there is NO other baseball team better than the Braves!!!

Buckeye- I'm assuming you're from Ohio. What part?

Boo & Charlotte- You both must have some amazing Father's if they remind you of Andy.

MDC- I too always thought of him as Barney no matter what other character he played, and what his family life was. He made that character come to life.

You know how they have been doing some remakes lately such as Bewitched, Starsky & Hutch, and Dukes of Hazzard? You don't think Hollywood would ever allow them to remake our beloved TAGS? Lord Almighty, I hope not.

Well, I'd better hit the hay. I just want to thank all of the warm welcomes I've received from the porch. Undecided, how 'bout you join me as a newcomer?

Blessings to you and yours, ~Farrah

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35238:
Hello porch...great to see ya all!

Spot...So you feel that the Braves are going to be strong with all the changes this year? I hope you are right. Every year "they" say that this will be the year that they won't win the division championship but yet they always come through. I truly feel that Bobby Cox is the greatest "players" coach ever. One thing, I really hated to see Furcal go. Also hope their pitching is strong this year.

I was told that the recent Larry King interview with Andy and Ron will be re-aired this coming Sunday night. Has anyone else heard this?

Hey that's a great story Buckeye.
In the same way, I'm so glad that when I make some dumb mistake, God can turn it around to make something good out of it.

Take care porch and be blessed.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35239: Good evening, all. Spent an interesting morning and early afternoon, sitting the terminally ill husband of a very good friend. My friend is still working, trying to conserve her time off until she really needs it, and while she does have Hospice services with her husband, he doesn't qualify for 24-hr nurses just yet. Soon, I think, but not yet. So, some of us just "drop in" and spend a few hours with Johnny while Bev is working. He grumbles and pretends to try to send us away, but we stay, and we know he's secretly glad not to be left alone. We had a very frank and open discussion about death and dying. I'm very happy to say that Johnny became a Christian a few years ago, after a lifetime of scoffing and belittling those "sissies up at the church". Johnny knows his time is short, and he's facing it with a mixture of courage and apprehension. Who wouldn't be a bit apprehensive? As he said, he knows where he's going, and that's okay, but he's a little concerned about the trip! He's on morphine now, and is fairly comfortable, but he's not sure how long that will last, and I think it's the pain he fears the most, undertandably. So friends, please remember my friend Johnny in your prayers.

Farrah, I believe you were referring to MDC's mom, as she's recovering from pneumonia. Sweet thoughts, wrong porchster! Don't worry, it happens to all of us.

Well, I'm off to bed. Sugarplum says 10-4. --Romeena

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35240: My stars! Make that "sitting WITH the terminally ill husband, etc." Will I ever learn to proofread? --Romeena

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35241: Hey porch. I too have had a hard time dealing with Don Knotts death, so I have to say I agree with those of you who posted your feelings. I avoided the porch because it was so hard to know what to say. To me, he is the the very heart of everything I love most about the Andy Griffith Show. I always pictured him as such a "real" person; just a nice, friendly man. It was so good to know he was out there someplace, maybe watching the reruns himself. I miss him. And darn it, I had to work late last night and I missed the Larry King thing. If anyone hears if they are going to rerun that one, please tell me so I can watch it.
- Hazel

Andy: Go ahead, tell me. I'm all ears.
Barney: Yeah, you always was.

March 02, 2006 - Msg 35242: When Boo (Msg 35230) and Charlotte Tucker (Msg 35231) mentioned how Andy reminds them of their own fathers, let me mention about one of my elderly neighbors. Not only does she remind me of Aunt Bee through her actions and clothing, but she even looks like Aunt Bee in her facial features and hairdo.

To Asa (Msg 35234), the last I read was that the funeral was to be private so no details will be released. However, there is supposed to be a public memorial service sometime in the coming weeks. I guess they will release more information after the private funeral.

And Rev (Msg 35238), looks like you are correct about Larry King reruning the Andy Griffith and Ron Howard tribute to Don Knotts this Sunday at 9pm Eastern. Check it out at Larry King

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35243: Be careful when you're doing HTML coding as you can break the planks here at the porch. Not too hard to fix but I had to crawl under there with them spiders and hook that board back down. --Floyd

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35244: Wow! Only Floyd beat me to the Porch this morning. (Hey, Floyd, don't go whackin' at those spiders with your hammer or BLOOEY! The whole shebang might come down.)

MDC: You're very welcome. Glad to be able to assist.

ROMEENA: What a wonderful and terrible duty. You're right, though. Even when we are sure where we are going, and can't wait to get there, soem apprehension is only human. No doubt many of his thoughts go to the ones he will leave behind.

This summer I had an incident happen that put me in the hospital for several days. Although it turned out not to be serious, for awhile there I was thinking the worst was possible. My pastor came in to visit and I told him that my chief worry was the effect on my family emotionally and with regard to their safety and security should something happen to me. He gave me something to remember. He said that God has used me to take care of your family, but, as important as I am to them, I shouldn't forget that they were created by Him and He doesn't require my help to care of them. Some may not have liked that; I found it very comforting.

BOO: Glad things are coming along on the house. Keep us apprised.

Anyway, good morning Porch!!!

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35245: Thanks Floyd. Sorry for locking up the whole Front Porch with my Msg 35242 last night. I noticed something funny after posting it. I tried to repost but the Front Porch was locked up. I did proof read my message before posting, but I was half asleep. Sorry to Floyd and my fellow Front Porch friends.

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35246: Hi ya'll--I made you some scrambled eggs (just scrape the black off) and there's also toast with marmalade. Eat up. (Have you been paintin'? Somethin' smells like turpentine.)

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35247: Well, CT, I guess we should just learn to love it, huh?

Hey, HORATIO, I've been clamoring for bigger wires!

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35248: floyd, the mayor ole buckeye thanks you. porch i tried to post earlier and got tied into larry king post, woke floyd up before breakfast so breakfast on me at yopur local diner. asa, glad you asked aboutdon knotts funneral i've been wondering myself and if he was going top be buried in morgantown, west virginia or go hollywood, but i didn't want to seem insensitive. almost every quote seems to have been given but even after my baby bed that opie gave barney and thelma lou i thought of another, SAY I GOT AN IDEA! farrah, i live in lincoln, illinois which is about half way between chicago and saint louis, off the interstate thankfuly. closer to charlotte tucker and goober. REMINDER IF YOU HAVEN'T SENT A PICTURE OF YOURSELFAND WANT TO BE IBCLUDED IN ROMEENA'S INTERNET PORCH ALBUMS please do. spot- i meant the braves and sox in 06 world seies as compliment my freind for i know how you and others love your team. me-they &romeena's post, monday on the way back from the doctors a dear christain freind upon finding out i had a stroke in my sleep causing problems on my right side asked are you afraid of dying? being months apart i'm sure he had pondered that uestion; i told him know i will hate the things like the warm sun on my face, the first flowers of spring , the fall colors, a full moon, sky full of stars ground covered with snow. the laughter of freinds. and the empty rocking chair. ro, you mentioned the sick pushing folks away, in most cases it's out of love to keep them from staying up 24/7 and putting their lives on hold. well the sun is shining so i think i'll grab my eskimo parka, go outside and see if i can find some neighborhood huskies to mush thru the neighborhood.ha. everyone have a great day. buckeye

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35249: Wow, Me-They, what a wonderful thought. Your pastor is a very spiritually astute man. I'd never really thought of it that way. I'm guessing that he knew how you would react to that statement, and might not have used it with someone else. Really, caring for our families is God's gift to us, more so than to the family. It's a joy. Proof of that can be found in my own life. I'm surviving without my husband to take care of me, but I sorely miss having him to look after. I'd love to cook his favorite meals for him, and see that his clothes were in order. Yet, had I passed first, I know he wouldn't have gone hungry or worn dirty clothes (at least not when anyone was looking). He would, however, have missed keeping my car maintained, helping me with the vacuuming, accompanying me on shopping trips to carry my packages. Looking after someone you love is a natural activity, a joy and a blessing. Strange how God always seems to have it worked out right, don't you think?

Poor Horatio, thanks for the link. I'll definitely watch that interview again, and will be alerting my friends and family as well. Might even tape it, if I can figure out how to make the VHS recorder work. My old one broke, and the new combo has so many bells and whistles and totally unnecessary features that I haven't figured it out yet. Humph! Some of this new-fangled stuff is just a bit much. I had a new programmable, fully automatic thermostat installed on my furnace and a/c unit. 'Bout froze to death for the first three days. I still don't understand how to program it, but have managed to figure out how to just run it up or down, and switch from heat to a/c manually. In other words, I can now do with the new one exactly what I was doing with the old one! Go figure.

Have a beautiful, blessed day today, everyone. Sugarplum says "over and under". --Romeena

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35250: Romeena (Msg 35249), before you rely on correctly programming your new vcr, try a test recording before the Larry King interview. This way you will know if you programmed it correctly. If all else fails, set your alarm clock to 5 minutes before the interview so you can put your vcr into manual record.

To M-T (Msg 35247), I'm not quite sure what you meant by posting "I've been clamoring for bigger wires!" Are you assuming that might have prevented my boo-boo?

from Poor Horatio

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35251: Yes, HORATIO, it was just a little joke about your little mishap. I'm no electronal wizard, but even I know that bigger wires won't solve all the problems. Good thinking, PAPPABEAR, to call the man!

ROMMENA: You're so right.

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35252: To M-T Msg 35251. Good joke about the bigger wires. But I hardly think that locking up the whole Front Porch was a "little mishap". It was more like a major catastrophe to me. I'm glad Floyd was quick to correct it. I hope Floyd didn't get bit by any of those spiders while he was fixing the problem under the front porch!!

from Poor Horatio

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35253: I know Asa posted this question in his Msg 35200 and it hasn'e been answered yet. But I really would like to know how Mavis's audition turned out the other night.

from Poor Horatio

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35254: HORATIO: I figure you must feel bad about locking up the board (I would, too), but in the scope of things (like what ROMEENA was talking about) it truly is a small thing indeed. Don't let it get to you. That Floyd is a kind man, though, ain't he? And, if you're out there MAVIS, I'd kinda like to know myself.

You can go back to whatever it was you were doing. What were you doing?

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35255: From the Cave in episode

Thelma Lou: It's only a Moth.

Barney: Well you don't want those in your hair either.

Thelma Lou: Barney!

Barney: They get in there and lay these moth can go crazy from those too!

Just read the Larry King transcript...what a marvelous man and a great contributor to human kind...tough day but I am enjoying watching the treasured shows he left behind.

Everyone have a great Mayberry Day and let's meet at Morelli's tonight for the special and then go to the Grand for Glenn Ford in G-Man.

I appreciate it and Good Night!

March 03, 2006 - Msg 35256: Howdy folks. I came by earlier this morning and was gonna get on the porch, but I saw Floyd under there with saw, hammer, jack and spider spray in hand. Looked serious so I just quietly backed away. Looks like he got 'er fixed, bless his heart. Don't go beatin yourself up inside Horatio. You was just responding to a question I asked. I feel responsible. Maybe if we ask Floyd for a shave the next time we get a haircut, it will make things better.
Hazel, glad you came a sat for a spell. We all handle these things in our own way.
And no problems SMH. If I had a dollar for everytime I messed up a post I'd be in Dee-triot with O'Mally.
Romeena, I sure enjoy your out look to life.

Romeena,I love how you summed up Barney's essence.I think I will jot that down and put it along with my "Barney" articles that I've been collecting out of the newspapers.
Glad Mama is doing better,MDC.
Well,I'd better go get Laci up from her nap.Y'all have a good day!

Now if we can just get Floyd to fix the band uniforms, we'd be all set! (haha) That is my first "ha" since last friday just before we heard the news. I guess that means that i am doing better.
I am a little worried about KY GIRL. It has been about 10 days now since she has visited. Hope all is ok. Prayers for her.
Buckeye, your ivory soap story reminds me of something that happened to me when i was about 10. My older sister had made a "sugar cube" church for a center piece on our Christmas table and she applied some "snow" and gum drops to the cardboard base. Well, I thought the snow was whipped cream and I plunged my finger in it to scoop some into my mouth. Surprize! She had whipped up Ivory Flakes and i got a mouthful of SOAP! I was spittin' and fumin' for a week! I learnt real good that I ought not be doin' that! ha
Ro- will indeed be praying for Johnny.
Prayers for all you porchsters too, our troops, families and all those in need, God bless,
