July 06, 2006 - Msg 42239: Good morning all! And a b-e-a-u-tiful day it is here in Maryland. Sunny and 80, with low humidity. Can't ask for more than that in JUly around here. Sorry you are so soggy, BOO. After the rain we endured here over the past couple of weeks, I know how you feel. Prayers for your sick one.

AUH2O: Yeah, a lot of mine was pay as you go, too. And I did a lot of the paying. The good things was that it made me work harder, and "get my money's worth," if you know what I mean. At times I worked forty hours a week and still went to school full-time. Since it was my blood, sweat, tears and money paying that bill, I made sure I did what I needed to do. I ended up with some student loans, but nothing outragious.

CHARLOTTE: Sorry if I confused you. Ryan O'Neals ex played Miss Peggy, not Nurse Mary. There were just the two Marys. It was Sue Ane Langdon who played the Nurse Mary in "Three's a Crowd." She's my fave girlfriend of Andy's. Cute as a button, loves pizza, and doesn't mind being courted in public.

Well, eleven days and counting until baby, but teh Mrs. still thinks it will be earlier, so I guess anytime now. So, if y'all don't hear from em for a couple of days sometime soon you'll know why. Keep us in your prayers.

Glad to hear that your real estate situation is getting worked out, MAVIS. I hate to see you work yourself to a frazzle. I have been noticing that you seem a lot less lately.

Talk to y'all this afternoon.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42240: Did I get all the corners? I hate dirt in the corners.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42241: Hello to all the porchesters. Hope everyone is having a good day. Been busy this morning so just sitting a minute to rock. Keep us posted on the Big Event M-T. Mavis glad things are working out. SPOT, thanks for breakfast! MDC, Guess Big Maude being a social worker just proves that people can change.. and she can dance too! Your comment made me laugh this morning.. thanks. SPOT, thanks for breakfast. Romeena, it was good to hear from you and the Plum, glad you are having a good time with you family. Good Sweep M-T. Well, guess I better get back to work. See you all later. Big Maude

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42243: Good Morning All!!!

Warren: How are things??? Sorry I had to get off last night, but I had to go pick my cousin up at 5:30 this morning, and I needed some sleep. I guess we could talk TAGS now!!!

How is everybody???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42244: Big Maude: Nice to see you!!! How are things for you??? Need any special prayers???

M-T: How's life treatin' ya??? Do you need any prayers???

auh2o: How about you???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42245: Good afternoon, BWB. I just finished lunch and figured I'd check in on the porch. Life is treating me kindly; no major difficulties. What is wrong with the world, though? Crazy Kim Jong Il is just the latest nut turning the screws on already suffering people. We should pray for him. Lord knows he needs it.

Well, back to the salt mines. Talk to ya'll later.

"You're not talking to a jerk, y'know!"

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42246: Hey, BIG MAUDE: You still giving voice lessons? Love that Lenoard Blush.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42247: Im fine today BWB! Thank's for asking! I understand about hitting the saq early, I would go to bed even earlier for that time!

Well I'll check back later porch!

Deputy Warren Ferguson

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42248: How-do, everybody! Just checking in. Beautiful day here, a gentle breeze stirring the palms, but barely causing a ripple on the lake. It's like a sheet of glass. Sunset last night was just beautiful. From the dock, we face due west across the lake, and when the sun drops behind the clouds that rise from the western coastline, the effect is spectacular. I got some really good pictures (gotta love that camera!) and maybe I'll post a couple of them in the album when I get home. I could do it from here, but I don't like to delve too deeply into my DIL's computer, or do anything that would leave cookie crumbs around on her hard drive.

The Plum has about barked herself hoarse the past few days. It seems there's always somebody coming around here - yard guys, pool guys, dry cleaner pickup/delivery guy, other delivery people, sub-contractors picking up plan copies or paychecks, whatever. My son's spaniel, Abbie, barks at everyone and the Plum has to join in. With high ceilings and stone floors, the noise reverberates beyond belief. My son and I just look at each other and shake our heads. No comments, because it wouldn't be heard anyway!

Abbie is a total dock/water dog. All my son has to do is say "dock" and she's at the door waiting for him. Open the door, she's off like an arrow, full-speed down the boardwalk and out of sight. When we get to the dock eventually, she's sitting on the seat of the seadoo, ready to go. The Plum, on the other hand, spends the entire time trying to sneak off the dock and back to the house, where there's a/c. Little couch potato.

Well, better go. I think my son is planning to run some errands, including the grocery store, and I need to go along. I'm thinking I'll fry that steak tonight and make him some pan gravy. He'll call his brother back in Texas and gloat while eating the meal, describing the taste of the gravy, etc. They're so funny. They were all good kids, all four, and now they've grown into good adults, people I like and enjoy being around. Life is good. God is good.

Hope everyone is well. My nerves are a little frazzled waiting for this home inspection tomorrow. Hoping I have everything(or as much as I can) fixed up and looking good, and wondering what else I can do.
Boy, I need a Mayberry day! Wish I lived there now. Course, if I did, I wouldn't be trying to move.

Hey Sterling!!!

Warren- You still here???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42255: Warren...War...Wa???!!!

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42256: Hey, porchsters, I'm home from a busy lunch, and I hope y'all enjoyed yours. Romeena, so good to hear from you! Glad you're having fun. We miss ya!

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42257: M-T, does Big Maude give voice lessons too? I thought that was Elinora Poultice(sp)...LOL!

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42258: Hey Mil!!! Got a minute???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42259: To Me-They Msg 42121, the only goals we have up here in Canada are soccer and hockey goals. LOL. The only test I will have to take is when I apply for citizenship. But I have to get approved as a permanent resident first.

Hey to Romeena Msg 42115. Glad to hear you're enjoying Florida. Your report made me jealous.

With all the talk about favorite episodes, I'm surprised no one mentions a favorite of mine ... The Haunted House. Watching Barney and Gomer react to the moving eyes in the painting is hilarious.

To Floyd Msg 42165, although I have seen double posts before, I never paid attention to see if they had different or the same Msg numbers. Does each posting begin with a SOM and end with a EOM? If that is so, can't you program your script to require a minimum delay between the EOM of one post and the SOM of the next post? In theory, you should be able to prevent double postings that way.

To MDC, you had me confused with Msg 42168. That is until your Msg 42169 cleared things up.

To Mavis Msg 42172, a belated happy birthday to Jake. Also, when I'm in Toronto, I'm only a 2 hour drive from Niagara Falls. I have been there a few times. Winter was the most memorable when most of the falls are frozen over. And at night, they turn on the colored lights ... wow, what a view!

To TOM Msg 42198, is there any specific type of gum wrapper you need? Does it have to be paper or aluminum foil or what? Do you need wrappers from regular gum or bubble gum? I'll look around Canada to try and find something they don't sell in the USA.

To Deputy Warren Msg 42204.
My first choice is Barney since he was the key to the success of the show. His absences had a significant negative affects on the show. He was sorely missed.
My second choice is Floyd is because although he had a different style of comedy, I enjoyed it. When he got sick and continued to act, it was kind of sad to watch him. But his absences did not have any significant affect on the show.
My third choice is Opie because he was key to the lessons many of the episodes tried to teach to the audience. But his comedic talent was no match for Barney and Floyd.

Finally, my continued prayers for Sean during his difficult time.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42260: Hey, PH, and BWB, I'm still here.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42261: Hey P-H!!! I do like the Haunted House!!!

Millie: Want to talk about TAGS???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42262: Sure, BWB. By the way, have you checked out that other site I reccomended? It's chock full of tags experts.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42263: Which one was that???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42264: andygriffithshow.net click on the forum. Warren is a poster there now, too,and I think you'd like it. Don't worry, you don't have to give any personal info.

Here's a TAGS question:

What's your favorite song on the show? Mine is "The Church in the Wildwood" from "Man in a Hurry".

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42265: BWB: I'm not sure if it's the board MILLIE is talking about, but have you tried Miss Crump's here at the TAGSRWC? It has a bunch of experts of trivial trivialities.

HORATIO: Did you see my question in msg 42121?

Hey to everybody!

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42266: I like "Don't Hit YOur Grandma with a Big Ole Stick." :)

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42267: Hey, Me They, I love Miss Crumps, too. Cracks me up every time.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42270: Mil: Thanks!!! I'll try it. Mine is Dooley!!!

M-T: I haven't, but I will try it, too!!!

Here's a question for you both:
What was the building next to Floyd's Barber Shop on the show???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42271: Yeah, Miss Crump's was my "regular" hangout before the porch. I still post there once in awhile, but nothing like I used to. I try to keep up with what's going on over there. There are some great people who hang out there. Do you post there? Perhaps use another nickname?

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42272: My post above was for MILLIE.

BWB: The funeral parlor/tv repair shop.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42273: M-T, I post occasionally, but mostly lurk. I'm Millie there, too. But on the TAGS forum I'm Fungirl.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42274: Also, Irishter is a regular and admin at the TAGS forum.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42275: M-T: Correct!!! I'm gonna try Ms. Crump's.

Millie: I went over there, but you have to give an e-mail address!!!

Thanks anyway!!!

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42276: Here's one:
Whose office is over the courthouse?

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42277: BWB, why can't you give your email addy?

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42278: BWB: You have to give an e-mail address at Miss Crump's, too. But FLOYD (alias MISS CRUMP) is the admin over there as well, so don't worry. JUst watch it calling him your Mother Figure; he gets awfully touchy. I wouldn't worry too much about providing your e-mail address over at the other TAGS forum; IRISHTER is a guy you can trust.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42279: MILLIE: The mayor's.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42280: Correct, Me-They. You ask one.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42281: M-t: I posted as Barnwannabe over at Miss Crump's. I'm not sure I did it right.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42284: Cool!!! Will one of ya'll post to me over there???

How does it work???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42285: Me they and I just responded to your post.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42286: Okay. What other character did Howard Morris, who played Ernest T. Bass, play on the show?

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42287: It's easy...just hang out and read up, if you see a thread you wanna answer, click on it, and respond.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42288: The T.V repair man on "Andy and Helen Have Their Day"

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42289: Leonard Blush, the TV repairman,.....uh...um...

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42290: what else?

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42291: Who was the other person listed on the theme in season 1???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42292: See ther, BWB, Rafe just welcomed you to Miss crump's, too.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42293: I don't think Howard Morris played the voice of Leonard Blush, but he did play a radio announcer. Of course, I could be wrong; it's happened once or twice before. I was thinking of George, the tv repairman from "Andy and Helen Have Their Day." I'm not sure I understand your question, BWB. But no matter, I'm headed home so someone else will have to answer.

Y'all have a great evening!

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42294: Thanks ya'll!!! Now you still wanna talk TAGS???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42295: My question was on the opening credits of season 1, who was listed besides Andy Griffith, and Ronny Howard???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42312: To Me-They Msg 42265, sorry for answering only one of your qeustions in Msg 42121. Below are the remaining answers.
Unlike the USA, Canada has two official languages: English and French. Many federal jobs require or give preferance to the candidate who is bi-lingual. That seems odd since most french speaking people live in just one of the thirteen provinces (states).
The Greater Toronto Area is more cleaner than the Chicagoland area in terms of litter and graffiti. I can't speak for other parts of Canada except southern Ontario.
That should answer all of your questions.

Millie, remember Briscoe introducing that one song.."Turnin' Your Old Clothes Into Rags." Cracks me up because they WORE rags, and also because that is what WE used to do when i was a kid. After 2 hand-me-downs, they went to the rag bin! ha

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42315: HI ALL.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42316: Evening Porch! Spot I'm here to stay too, been here too long to leave now, but I do have to admit, I don't much care for the "porch format" lately. I liked it better when we rocked & enjoyed the quiet instead of running like they do in the big city. BWB my email address is K9HairDesign@comcast.net if you want Tom's address to send wrappers to. Ro so glad you are having a good time, Eustis is where we used to go every year with Mom. Lovely little town! Anyone else wanting to send Tom gum wrappers, I don't chew gum either, sticks to my dentures. (I shudder to think what I just revealed about myself), I just buy the packs of gum & send it all to him, figure he can chew the gum or give it to Gizzmo's kids (Where is she anyway??) I know Wrigleys Doublemint, Juicy Fruit & such in te 5 piece packs have the wrappers he is looking for. Thanks to everyone who answered about my Niagra Falls questions, sounds like I might have to plan a trip there when I can afford it. Best get my email checked & get some stuff done. Millie made anything out of the cookbook yet?

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42317: Mavis, funny you should ask, I just this morning got stuff to make the Lemonade Pie.....I'm making it tonight. I'll let you know how it turns out.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42318: Hey All!!!

Home from work...FINALLY!!!

How's everyone???

I'll probably only be able to stop by 2 or 3 more times tonight, so does anyone need prayers???

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42319: THANK YOU MAVIS FOR DOING THAT FOR ME.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42320:
Hey Porch,

Mavis & Spot-I'm right there with ya. You two better not wander off or we'll come looking for ya.

Mavis-There is a bit of a "joke," for lack of a better word, you hear up this way regarding Niagara Falls; debating which side has the better view of the Falls, the American or Canadian side, the Canadian of course because your looking at America. Ba dum bum, Thank you!
I'll be here all night.

MDC-White Castle you say, I'm in. I've never been to a White Castle. I think the local supermarkets have frozen White Castle burgers, I think. You are right about Crazy Kim. He best watch his step I think.

God Bless,

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42321: Hey Tom! Glad you at least got to see fireworks from your porch. The Fourth of July just isn't the same without fireworks. Me-They and Boo, Are you guys totally sure that Joanna Moore was Peggy? I looked at photos of her on the internet and didn't even see the resemblance! Stranger things have happened but I hate to think she was Miss Peggy. Hey, Asa (An-dee, what happened to yer ah-aye?) I just couldn't resist! I love that line and that accent. Hope ya'll are well. Where's our Dixie Belle been hiding? And Hazel? I'm afraid she may have flown Frank Myers' coop.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42322: You are welcome Tom & be sure to tell Gizzmo Hey from Mavis! I know how little hands can be, they are into everything. haha auh2o do you do parties? haha that was a good one, I can just hear Asa now, you & him, doing a party, him beating them cymbals when you make a joke. Bet that would be a sight to behold! Millie that Lemonade pie is MMM Good! And EASY. Let me know how the customers like it! Best get to bed. Ya'll get those wrappers to Tom he can use the chain to whip them bees if they come in on him. LOL Night Porch.

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42323: Charlotte, I don't remember Peggy's real name so I'm not much help, sorry.

MDC, I have not seen the new Sonic commercial but I will sure be watching for it. I have been sitting around alot today and watching more TV than usual. I have been a bit under the weather with stomack trouble. I have been trying to watch Citizen Kane for the last hour and just can't get into it.

BWB, I can always use prayers, thanks for asking. Things can get pretty stressful around here and sometimes I just feel so tired and I lack alot of enthusiasm.

Hope you all have a good night's sleep. Night porch!

July 06, 2006 - Msg 42324: Oh yeah, Tom I won't give out your address to anyone unless YOU say it is ok.

Boo, Mavis, Thank you for your prayers for Barney. He came through just fine. Vet said everything looks good. He said no food till tomoorow morning though and he ain't to happy about that atall! He's sulking as I post.

Charlotte, It is Joanne Moore who played Peggy. True story. I always love the eye quote you throw in there. LOL

Tom, thanks for your uplifting poems. It brings some peace here.

Hazel's computer went down a few weeks back and she told me it would be a while before she could get it fixed. Hope she hurrys.

Spot, Mavis auh2o, I'm with you all on your thoughts.

Hang tuff Boo. The service you render will bless you greatly.

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42330: Befour I head to bed, I remember someone saying that one of the Andy's girl's on the Andy Griffith Show had a bad Drug and Drinking problem. It was either the actress who played Marry or Peggy. Was it Ryan O'Neals or Sue Ane Langdon? It might have been Me-They or Boo who posted it. I can't remember who posted it. If anyone remember's let me know! Thank's!

Im going to copy and paste this again from MSG 42329 :

Night Porch! Y'all sleep tight and don't let the Ernest T's bite!

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42332: Morning fromt the Irish side of the Porch!

One more day of our two VBSs with the closing session tonight.

In the teen VBS I got a bit carried away getting the kids "enthused" and had to see my chiropractor this morning and he laughed at me the whole time! Hows that for sympathy? Course when a 50+ year old is jumping up and down and acting like a child, what do you expect ;-).

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42333:
Morning Porch,

Just a quick, Hey! For now.

Anyone heard from Romeena since she had to go peeking at that gator. Somehow, I think she could handle herself.

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42334:
....and the gator.

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42335: HeeHee, hope you feel better, Irishter!

ASA, glad Barney is doing well....I just had a mental picture of your Barney in one of those Orbit Gum commercials, where the person smiles and show off their clean mouth...do you know which one I am talking about?...they smile and you hear this, "ding"...and see a star shine from their teeth...

Warren, it was Joanna Moore (nurse Peggy) who had the drug/alcohol problem, and was the mother of Tatum.

Its still raining...so hard to believe there was a drought here a month ago.

I'll be back later,

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42336: Hey Auh2o, yea, I'm not too worried about RO!

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42337: Good morning everyone! It's another beautiful day on my end of the porch. Y'all are invited to come sit near me and enjoy.

Thanks for another great poem, TOM.

CHARLOTTE: Yeah, as BOO stated, it was Joanna Morre that played Miss Peggy. I liked her accent, too. It sounded so genuine. I didn't care for Andy and Barney's way of taling in the first season. Their accents were so exagerated that they didn't seem real. Peggy has a pretty thick Southern drawl, but it wasn't exagerated and seemed very real (actually, I think it was).

BOO: Watch out for mildew. Especially if you're storing any band uniforms.

IRISHTER: You're no spring chicken anymore!

I put five bucks on ROMEENA.

Hey to everybody. I'll stop back later.

"Yeah, we decided not to make a moulage out of it."

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42338: HI ALL

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42339: To Mavis, I have more to add about Niagara Falls. The Falls are composed of two separate waterfalls; the American Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
I have seen both falls from the USA and from Canada. And Canada has by far the best panoramic heads-on view of both the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. Plus on the Canadian side, you will have access to a lot more commercial tourist attractions such as souvenir and gift stores, museums, restaurants, casinos, live performances and other novelty and amusement attractions.
From the American side, you can get a decent partial view of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls from Terrapin Point on Goat Island. Unfortunately the only view of the American Falls from the American side is a side view.
You will be disappointed if you limit your visit to just the American side. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend that you bring your passport. If you don't have a passport, then you will need a government photo I.D. (like a driver's license) and an official copy of your birth certificate (with local government seal stamp).
For more information, check out this and this.

To auh2o Msg42320, I never heard that joke about Niagara Falls.

To Irishter Msg 42332, take it easy man! I'm around your age and know better than to jump around like a child. Heck I have trouble getting up from a chair.

To M-T Msg 42337, you said you put five buck on Romeena. Is that to win, place or show?

To TOM Msg 42338, speaking of bees, I was cleaning out one of our garden sheds in the back yard. I was removing a pile of cut wood when I noticed one bumble bee ... then two ... then three ... then four ... then five!!! Yikes, I had to run out of the shed pretty quick. Looks like they have a nest in the wood pile. I guess I will have to wait until winter before finishing cleaning out the shed. According to the internet, the winter cold will kill them if they don't leave sooner.

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42342: HORATIO: If ROMEENA shows, I'm sure she'll win.

Bees? Don't care for them. I know that they perform a valuable function in the garden, but we don't get along. I can probably live with the bumblebees, and we don't have very many honeybees around here anymore due to the parasite, but some of the others are downright evil. I guess because I have an old house and old lawn, but every year I am exterminating yellowjacket nests from the property. They'll nest in the walls to your house ort shed, a hole in the ground, or anywhere they can. And they're downright nasty, especially in the fall. They'll sting you for no good reason. (One word of advice regarding yellowjackets: never swap or step on them, and if you happen to get stung by one, immediately leave the area. When they are squashed or have their stinger pulled out they emit a pheramone that excites others in the area to attack. Always spray them if you have to kill them. I know from experience that the scent can travel across a yard on the breeze.) Last year I had a nest of European Hornets take up residence in a void in an old cedar tree in my front yard. Those things can up to an inch and a half long! And, they are just as active at night as during the day but are attracted to light, so you can't sneak up on 'em and spray them at night. Up here they charge about $150 to get rid of a nest. They will die off in winter, but most people don't want to spend the summer and fall dodging inch-long bees, and if they are near the house you can't use exterior lights without driving them crazy. Plus, they chew the bark off many small ornamental trees like lilacs and crepe myrtles and kill (and eat) other bees. Then there are those wood-boring bees, which I'm not sure are actually bees though tehy sure do look like bees. But they can't sting you, only bite. They've made my shed look like swiss cheese (they've been putting holes in it for over 100 years). I have great fun taking the tennis racket after them when they come out in the spring. For as much damage as they do, I don't have any problem taking care of them. Well, that's my treatise on bees. Oh, except I don't care for wasps, either.

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42345: Hey Y'all! Wanted to pop in and rock on the Porch a bit. Also,I have a message for Asa- appointment is set for Tuesday morning. Pray that I get a good report on my ticker-it's been doing some crazy things lately. I think a lot of it is stress (family) related. I am beginning to relate to Boo (parents) and Mavis (sister). I think I'm an official member of the "We Can't Choose Our Relatives" club after what I've been going through these past months!
Tom,that was a lovely poem-thank you. You mentioned bees- this morning I was sitting outdoors with my little grandchild Laci and a bumblebee came right over and brushed her cheek. I told her she got kissed by the buzzy buzzy bee and she started laughing. A bumblebee I can handle, but we've got wasps around and we have to be careful.
Daughter took the National Exam this morning in order to become a certified EKG/Cardiac Tech. She said it seemed easy,so I'm feeling good that she passed. We think once she has the certification, she'll find a job. She's been out of school almost 2 months and is ready to work.Y'all keep your fingers crossed,ok? Thanks!
Well,I've gotta go to Foley's market or else Mr. Possum's not gonna have anything for Sup-pah (trying to say it like Aunt Bee!) tonight!
Think I'm cooking spaghetti and guess what? I have a secret ingredient! Betcha can't guess what it is!!
Since Spot's cooking for the Porch tonight, how's about we have leftover spaghetti for lunch tomorrow? -y'all have a good evening!

Spot- great cookout on the 4th. Do you have White Castle? I know they are mainly midwest and the land of my birth-Minnesota! Cheap, good and filling! haha

Me They- My uncle used to raise bees. As kids we would help extract the honey. Always "flick" off a stinger with thumb and index finger. By pulling it out, you can squeeze more venom from the sac into you, like a hypo.
Where's Colt??

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42358: Millie, Im bakeing two more of those outstading Cocunut Pie's tonight! For guest's! Im sure they'll love it!

Deputy Warren Ferguson

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42359: Ha, who is Roger Eggbert, MDC?? I can't remember him.

Hey Warren, I have a Coconut-Chocolate Pecan Pie in the oven right now and I can smell it! Its a new recipe. Hope it turns out well. You make it the same way you do a pecan pie but you add 3/4C of chocolate chips and 1C of toasted coconut. By the way, I liked the poem (especially the part about Warren "having a life"! heehee).

Well, its bedlam around here this afternoon. Mom is mad at Dad, Dad is depressed, the kids are fighting, and two of Sean's friends are raiding the kitchen after I cleaned it. I give up! I'm too tired to fight! My little girl just came in here with a cherry tomato smashed on the side of her head...

I wanted to ask your prayers for my good friends who have a 4 yr old that is in the hopital. She has been running a fever off and on for weeks and then started complaining of pain in her hip. It turns out she has an infection in the bone in her hip. I have no idea why but they are going to put in a central line (long-term IV) and start giving her IV antibiotics for several weeks, the doctor says. I know that infections in the bone are hard to treat so I am concerned about it. She is a wonderful, little character and a dear friend to my Erin. She also has three other sibling, one who is only 8 months old so her parents have their hands full, bless their hearts!

Better go see if the kids have set the house on fire...later, friends..

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42360: When I said "I have no idea why" I was referring to why she has an infection in her hip, so if any of you know anything about this sort of thing, please share. I am afraid to look it up on the internet because I might get scared.

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42361: I'm sure you know what I mean Warren, ha!

July 07, 2006 - Msg 42362: Thank's for the compliment on the poem Boo! Hope your pie turn's out nice to! And to MSG 42361, I do know what ya mean!
